We began morning circle with some of our New Years Day pictures form N.M., Y.S. and U.Y.
Then we practiced some 'V' vocabulary and finish with 'Frosty the Snowman', the story of the month.
This month we are focusing on the body so today we sung Head and Shoulders, along with the Mulberry bush and I love you.
In language arts Rompers completed the 'V' pages in their workbooks.Some of the early finishers did a snowman trace and colour worksheet.
Before lunch we showed the children how to make colour water and put it in to ice cube trays for tomorrows craft of ice painting. We made red and blue. We mixed the left over paint to see what colour we could make, red and blue makes purple!
After lunch some of the students did Kakizome (Japanese calligraphy). The younger children drew pictures of their faces, the older ones wrote their name.
We finished the day by reading the story 'Snow'.
