Thanksgiving Day: November 22, 2007
ジュリアン先生より
Today we celebrated Thanksgiving Day!
It is a traditional North American holiday, to give thanks for the things that one has at the conclusion of the harvest season.
From the morning we introduced some vocabulary that we used later during the event.
Teachers also made an interactive power point presentation so students could understand the culture background of Thanksgiving Day.
We asked many questions!
And after this, we also all levels learned about table manners, so important during a special meal; they even learned to fold their own napkin!
Finally, we had a delicious BIG TURKEY and stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy sauce corn.
This was a new experience for most of our students.
They not only learned through English but also through culture, and
more important, while having fun.
